fidesser*orbis

Wines in this range are mostly blends of traditional Austrian varieties. The holistic approach - the influence of flora, fauna, microclimate, and the cosmos - inspired the illustration on the labels. Illustrations of geometric forms by Leonardo da Vinci portray the individual character of each wine. The name fidesser*orbis captures the holistic perspective of biodynamics. The wines are hand-picked, mostly skin-fermented, bottled without fining and filtration and with a minimal amount of sulfur before bottling, if needed. The wines are aged in barrels for at least one year, on the full lees.

Basic

The grapes for our Basic wines come from several vineyards of our village and represent the essence of Platt‘s terroir. These wines show our most important grape varieties and an unadulterated varietal character. The wines are hand-picked, fermented spontaneously, bottled without fining and added just with only a moderate addition of sulfur.

Single-Vineyard

The Terroir wines come from our most important single vineyards and reflect the typical characteristics of each vineyard. Most of these wines are pressed directly, without maceration time - they are therefore more precise. Of course, they are hand-picked, spontaneously fermented, without any finings and added just with a minimal amount of sulfur. They are restrained and subtle in their youth, but after a year in the barrel and at least a year in the bottle, they beginn to show their true potential. Simply fermented grape juice paired with lots of energy. Our biggest goal is to pour our future children a 30-year-old single-vineyard wine that tells a story and is still full of life.
