Biodynamic farming inspired by Rudolf Steiner
Demeter is an association of farms that practise biodynamic agriculture. This approach sees the farm as a living whole, working towards a balanced, self-sustaining cycle. It encourages each farm to develop in its own way while recognising the connections between earthly life and the wider cosmos. As part of one of the oldest movements in organic agriculture, Demeter winegrowers in Austria seek to nurture the life and vitality of their vines, starting with the soil. Biodynamically managed soils are nourished with natural compost.

Vintage Vermouth
“A chef from the Bregenzerwald, a winemaker from the Weinviertel, and a distiller from Lustenau develop an aperitif” (Der Standard, 9 July 2018) When three specialists come together, something special can happen—and Vreimuth is a fine example. A vermouth with a nod to the way it used to be made. It begins at Weingut Fidesser, our organic winery in the Weinviertel. The distinctive herbal character is created by Ms Kaufmann, before the blend is brought together at the Freihof distillery in Lustenau.
